Based on our testing, the standard 1490 mAH battery runs for 3.5 hrs or so. Due to some special tweaking of the microcontroller of our battery, we have benchmarked our 2400 mAH battery at 7.5 to 8 hrs of run time. That's a 54% increase in runtime based on the lowest benchmarked time.
Our benchmarking consisted of using KeepAlive to datalog the battery status and running the system on maximum brightness and power, with the radio off. Many of the competing hi-capacity batteries produced currently will not function properly or report to the system an accurate remaining capacity due to an issue with the battery microcontroller. We guarantee ours will.
Note: This is a thicker battery. It will not fit in the stock cradle and will require the use of a sync-n-charge cable like our Lil' Sync Pro.
The standard battery is 5.2mm thick and our hi-capacity battery is 8mm thick.
